A little bit about me

I was born and raised in Ljubljana, Slovenia, my beloved city, but I always had the need to cross the borders and see what’s out there. I lived in Portugal for one year and in the Netherlands for five, and now I travel between Ljubljana and Rotterdam for projects and teaching.

My music studies started with piano at age 9, but the music journey started much before. Thanks to my parents, I was exposed to opera, ballet, a clunky toy piano, folk singing on hiking trips and parties, a funky japanese syntesizer and dancing to loud music already as a young child.

My music journey nowadays continues through playing the piano, improvising and composing music, but in the past, it went through music journalism as well. For me, journalism was a part of the learning experience, as through it I came to know incredible amounts of good music and interviewed many artists I admired.
